Cardboard farm. Do-it-yourself farm model for Ksyusha. Sensory box "Dinosaurs"

02.03.2020

You can and should make toys for children on your own. Not all, but everyone can make a farmer's house. There is nothing difficult in this, it is enough to spend a little time and “ruin” a couple of cardboard boxes from under shoes.

I decided to make a small toy house for my child. Although she has a lot of toys, however, the lack of desire to play with them prompted me to a little trick. You need to make a toy with your own hands. The manufacturing process itself is fascinating and my daughter will definitely like it, and the finished toy will please the eye, the family budget and the manufacturer himself.

I developed the design after looking on the Internet for various models of houses from the designer. To organize a full-fledged farm, you need to build a dwelling for the farmer himself, a barn for animals and a garage for a tractor. The animals themselves can be bought quite inexpensively in any toy store, but you will not find a good playhouse anywhere.

When making a homemade house, it is worth remembering that the child should be comfortable playing with it. Therefore, my house does not have a wall at the back, and the roof of the barn is easily raised if necessary. Since the main material from which the entire truss is made is cardboard, it is advisable to stick light parts to the base with tape so that they do not spread.

For making the house, I used a wine bottle box.

First, cut the box in half. One half will serve as a house, and from the second we will make a roof.

I cut off the back wall of the house completely. This will allow the child to get full access to all the "insides" of the building. Also, with the help of blades, you need to cut through the windows and the door.

I decided to make a shed with a sloping rising roof. For these purposes, I used a small cardboard box. To ensure the desired slope, you can simply cut the box at the angle you like.

In order for the DIY house to become beautiful and neat, you need to decorate it. I didn’t use paints, as they would then constantly stain my hands and everything else. I made the decor from colored printer paper. I found interesting patterns on the Internet (bricks, metal), printed it out, cut it out and glued it to the house with PVA glue.

Clay should not be spared. Well smeared, it will dry longer, but then it will give the house additional rigidity.

When both buildings (house and shed) are ready, you need to securely glue them to each other. To make a fence for a farm or not is an individual choice for everyone.

Materials and tools:

2 carton boxes, PVA glue, colored printer paper, cardboard, glue stick (optional), scissors, blade, glue brushes.

It is not difficult to make such a house with your own hands. But how much fun the child will have!

A cow treats everyone with milk:
“Drink, please! Be healthy! »
Cheerfully grunting near the barn,
The pig plays with the mother pig.
Cat-hunter jumped off the roof -
Mice hurry to hide in minks.
We call a dog a devoted friend,
She bravely guards our house.
The horse is always ready to help -
Carry cargo or plow the land.
We will cut the curly sheep
And we will spin the threads for the wool hat.
The goat likes to climb into the garden:
There is a lot of delicious cabbage growing there.
The little gray donkey is small, but strong:
He carries heavy luggage.
The hen lives in a warm poultry house,
Cackles loudly and lays eggs.
The duck calls its children Quack-quack! »
Come on, ducklings, swim like me! »

We will need:

- shoe box
- gouache
- glue transparent moment
- magazine (for blanks)
- skewer
- cardboard (packing box)
- cloth (for lawn)
- sisal
- scissors
- Pets
- feeders (in my case, a barrel divided into 2 parts)

For the basis of the farm house, I took a shoe box, the lid of which is not removed, but opens in one direction. To fix the lid, I had to lay plates of thick cardboard inside after lubricating them with glue.

For the roof, I used cardboard from the packaging box, having previously measured the size, I cut out blanks

Covered the house and roof with white paper

I made blanks of “logs” from a magazine using a skewer, we wind the sheet onto a skewer so that the edge does not unwind, we coat it with glue.

"Logs" I glue with transparent glue moment

When everything was glued, I painted it with brown gouache

The fabric lawn was also glued with a transparent adhesive moment

Since I placed the chicken coop on the roof, I needed a ladder, which I made in the same way as the “logs” and painted with the same paint, partitions were also made

The ladder is in place, as are the feeders, ornamental shrubs, sisal haystack (I had two colors of it, yellow and green, which I put together), all well glued on.

I painted the house with building varnish for 2 times, when everything was dry, the pets had a housewarming party and it took its rightful place in our group

Thank you all for your interest in my work.

A mini-farm for cows will help ensure a stable income. Initially, you can buy a small livestock. Gradually, the business will increase, the number of bulls and cows in the herd will increase. The proposed recommendations will help to organize and equip everything correctly.

A mini-farm for cows will help ensure a stable income

If you are planning to organize a farm, you need to carefully consider and calculate everything. An exemplary business plan for a dairy farm for 20 heads includes the main points of the organization of the process and financial issues.

The main points include:

  • choosing a place for a future mini-farm;
  • rent or buy land plot(if not available)
  • purchase of inventory;
  • purchase of the initial livestock - bulls and cows;
  • organization of proper care for each individual;
  • maintaining cleanliness;
  • cleaning of waste products - manure.

Financial matters include expense items and ways to generate income in farming. Necessary investments determine the value initial capital needed to organize a business.

The main expenses are as follows:

  • purchase of building materials;
  • construction of a mini-farm;
  • purchase and delivery of livestock;
  • wages for hired personnel;
  • fodder preparation;
  • payment for veterinary services.

In fact, the productivity of these animals is extremely high.

A mini-farm for 10 cows will pay off very quickly. Such an enterprise can generate income in several directions. It could be:

  • sale of milk and dairy products;
  • sale of high-quality beef and/or meat by-products;
  • sale of skins;
  • sale of bulls and heifers, i.e., young animals;
  • sale of manure as an organic fertilizer;
  • paid provision of breeding individuals for mating (mating) to owners of other farms.

In addition, you can also organize the sale of hay and / or silage. Of course, subject to the availability of appropriate land plots.

The right choice of location

In order to build a farm for cows without any problems, you need to choose the right piece of land. It should be a level and well-trodden area. The presence of a small forest belt near the mini-farm will protect the animals from drafts and / or strong winds.

Natural reservoirs and/or springs drinking water according to the legal norms of the relevant laws of the Russian Federation, they must be at least 30 m away from the places of keeping mass livestock, otherwise the owner may be fined a large amount. In this case, the mini-farm will have to be moved to another site.

An equally important point - the absence of residential and / or other buildings near the place where the mini-farm will be equipped, cattle - this is an inevitable unpleasant smell. Do not create discomfort for residents of nearby settlements. On its own site, a mini-farm for cows is settling closer to the planting site for fruit and vegetable crops. This will make it easier to use the manure to fertilize the soil. From a residential building, a modern farm should be located at a distance of 15 meters or more. Additionally, the main wind direction in the region should also be taken into account.

To easily build a farm for cows, you need to choose the right piece of land

Saving money

For a novice farmer to maintain, for example, ten or twenty heads, it is better to rent land. It will be much cheaper than buying. You can pick up a site with ready-made buildings, which, after a small repair, will provide adequate conditions for a large cattle. A leased plot and/or a cowshed for 50 heads has such a significant plus as the ability to terminate the contract without any problems. For example, if a more suitable option was found.

The farm project and the initial estimate should be drawn up, focusing on recycled material. Used bricks, wood, etc. can be purchased much cheaper. The main thing is to check the quality of the goods - the degree of wear, safety, etc.

Sawdust is used for bedding in the barn. You can cook them yourself. To do this, you can buy old wood - frames, boards, lumber that are not usable.

Preparing for construction

To ensure proper housing and / or care of cows, a farm plan will help, which must be prepared in advance. You can make it yourself or find a suitable mini-farm project from friends and acquaintances.

The work site must be marked. At the same time, a place for storing building materials and tools must be prepared.

Independent construction of a farm for cattle requires significant labor and time. You can speed up the process by inviting assistants. Hiring a construction team will be very expensive.

Tools and materials

Before building a farm, you need to stock up on the necessary tools and materials. For work you will need:

  • dry concrete mix or cement and sand;
  • brick, wood or blocks;
  • slate;
  • ruberoid;
  • insulation;
  • fasteners;
  • bars and/or beams.

The tool kit must include:

  • shovels - shovel and bayonet;
  • roulette construction;
  • plumb and level;
  • technical knife;
  • puncher or electric drill;
  • construction mixer or concrete mixer;
  • solution containers;
  • saw and / or hacksaw;
  • mason's tool;
  • wire cutters and/or pliers;
  • hammers and sledgehammers;
  • overalls;
  • rag.

To store a supply of materials and working tools, you can equip a small barrack or a fenced area with a canopy.

Barn dimensions

The health of cattle directly depends on the conditions of the herd. To make the animals feel comfortable, it is necessary to plan the following dimensions of the barn:

  • main area - 500 m² for 50 heads (at the rate of 6 m² per 1 adult or 10 m² for queens with offspring);
  • additional area for storage of feed, inventory and equipment;
  • wall height - from 2.5 to 3 m;
  • height to the roof ridge - not less than 3.5 m.

Experienced livestock breeders do not advise building very large barns for a wide range of livestock. In small rooms for 10 or 20 animals, animals feel more comfortable. At the same time, the cows on the farm are healthy and give a good milk yield. In the event of infection of one or more individuals, the main livestock will be easier to protect from the disease. In addition, a barn for 20 heads is easier to keep clean and tidy to obtain high-quality milk and / or meat.

Independent construction of a farm for cattle requires significant labor and time

barn construction

The selected version of the mini-farm and barn project needs to be studied and, if necessary, slightly modified. This will help tailor the proposed projects to specific conditions.

A brick structure for cattle must be built on a massive foundation. Under frame, wooden or block walls, you can make a lightweight version. The roof is made 2-pitched with a high ridge. From above, a hayloft and a storage system for the necessary inventory, equipment, etc. are being equipped. Another option is a modern hangar-type barn with an arched roof. The profile for it is gradually increased to the required size.

The ceiling of the cattle room is usually made of thick board. For cold regions, double decking is required. Joints are sealed with clay. To keep warm, it is necessary to pour sand or sawdust. The layer thickness is at least 10 cm.

The floor in the barn is best made of concrete. It is bred and poured using conventional technology. The concrete floor is durable, comfortable for animals and staff. Maintaining cleanliness does not require significant effort and time.

Plank floors are cheaper. However, it is necessary to cover the connecting seams with clay. Mandatory slope for the floor in the barn - no more than 2 cm per 1 m. This is safe for cows and convenient for cleaning manure.

Inside the barn, it is necessary to equip stalls measuring 170 by 110 cm. For the manufacture of partitions, you can use the following materials:

  • board;
  • reinforcing bar;
  • log;
  • timber;
  • metal pipe.

The floor is covered with dry chopped straw or sawdust. You can make wooden flooring. In the center of the room you need to leave a wide passage for the farm staff.

A canal or gutter is arranged at the back for the drainage of manure masses. Be sure to make a slope towards the tank for collecting liquid manure. The gutter is brought out through a special hole (opening) in the wall. It needs a latch.

Drinkers and feeders are easy to make with your own hands. They are placed in front of the stalls. The width of the bottom is 40 cm. From the bottom up, the feeder expands to 70 cm. The height of the outer side is 70 cm. The inner side facing the animal is not higher than 30 cm.

Conditions of detention and sanitary standards

The microclimate is very important for cattle. Therefore, in the barn of a farm for 50 heads, windows are needed for ventilation. They are located at a height of 120-150 cm above the floor. A ventilation system and a heating device (if necessary) will help ensure temperature regime and air circulation.

The area of thermal neutrality, i.e., the optimal temperature regime, is provided in the barn, depending on the breed of animals. Usually required from +4 to +20 °C. For young bulls and heifers, warmth is especially important. Large rooms will require artificial lighting. Electrical wiring must be installed by a specialist during the construction period.

My son is still picky! To captivate him with some activity other than painting furniture and wallpaper with pencils and crayons, you need to make a whole bunch of efforts. But sometimes I still manage to find an approach to it.

At the age of one and a half, Andryushka loves animals, he is especially partial to dogs. We are just approaching the grandmother's house (she has a dog), and the son is already squealing with joy. And what fun they play!

Andryusha and I, of course, study animals: their names, the sounds they pronounce, what they eat. We even have a special educational poster, but unfortunately it doesn't impress my son. The maximum that he can do is listen to riddles about animals and smile at the correct answers of his older sister.

This fact prompted me to create the "Home Farm" - a kind of board game or a developmental allowance for a son. I also took advantage of the fact that in addition to the “artist”, there is also a “box maker” in my little man - my son loves all kinds of boxes: shoe boxes, juice boxes, egg cartons, match boxes, etc. He shifts them, inserts one into the other, puts in them everything that "lies badly." So, it was decided to “attach” the “Home Farm” to this particular topic - boxes, or rather, matchboxes.

You will need:

  • matchboxes - 10 pcs.
  • cardboard sheet - 1 pc.
  • adhesive tape
  • scissors
  • white landscape sheet - 1 pc.
  • animal pictures
  • "Voices" of animals printed with words on a piece of paper
  1. Paste a sheet of cardboard with self-adhesive film. If the cardboard is beautifully designed, you can skip this stage.
  2. Cut out pictures of animals that will settle on your farm.
  3. Cut out 10 rectangles from the landscape sheet to the size of a matchbox. Glue them to matchboxes. Glue the animal figurine on top.

  1. Inside the matchbox, place and stick inscriptions with the sounds that animals make.
  2. Arrange matchboxes on a sheet of cardboard and glue. "Home farm" is ready!

Game options:

  1. Tell the child that now he will have his own "home farm". Show and name the animals that will live on the farm.
  2. Tell what sounds the animals make when opening the boxes.
  3. Describe what animals eat.
  4. Tell the child that now you will take care of the animals together, feed them. Invite your child to feed the animals. As a "feed" you can use small buttons, beads or cereals. We used tube vermicelli. I was afraid to give peas to children, too small.

Attention: while feeding animals, carefully watch the child so that he does not drag a bead or vermicelli into his mouth. Be there all the time!

My picky little one loves to feed the animals. He puts vermicelli into boxes as if he is on a mission to save the Earth. From the outside it looks very funny. He also likes it when I say "baby voice" instead of an animal. For example: “Andryusha, oink-oink, I really want to eat. Please feed me!" So he will know in which box to put the "food".

Surprisingly, five-year-old Sonya liked Home Farm just as much! They fight with their brother over noodles: everyone wants to feed the animals first and give them more food. If not for the size of the matchbox, we would have had a hard time.

Discussion

You are a very good mother and a creative person.
But when you take a photo, ask someone for a good camera, or at least take pictures not against the background of crumpled sofas and other household items.

good idea, cool. I've noticed small such homemade products are more to their liking than purchased toys. they would be more than happy to take it apart at that age, throw it, poke it. but I'm not capable of such feats as creating a game on my own ... it's easier to buy a mine! how do you find time for this?
