Mikhail Aslanovich Pogosyan was born on April 18, 1956 in Moscow. In 1979 he graduated with honors from the Faculty of Aircraft Engineering of the Moscow Aviation Institute. S. Ordzhonikidze and went to work at the Moscow Machine-Building Plant. P.O. Sukhoi.

Since 2011, he has worked as President of the United aircraft corporation. The youngest son Artyom (b. 1986) graduated from the Higher School of Economics, in 2011 he defended his dissertation for the degree of candidate of technical sciences at the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI). Since 2005, he has been working at the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SAC CJSC), whose board of directors is chaired by Mikhail Pogosyan. On March 18, 2013, 27-year-old Artyom Poghosyan was appointed senior vice president for economics and finance at Sukhoi Civil Aircraft.
