The permanent chairman of the cooperative, a veteran of the industry and the owner of the gold badge "Honored Prospector of Russia" Vladimir Mikhailovich Koreshkov, it seems, knew about this from the very beginning. In 1992, he suggested that artel workers form an independent enterprise on the basis of the already dilapidated mine "Middle Borzya", in the village of Yavlenka, Nechinsko-Zavodsky district. And the miners, without hesitation, agreed: such a professional as Vladimir Mikhailovich cannot be trusted. In the same year, having taken over mining sites, two 250-liter dredges and another farm, Dauria started mining. Work began on the Sredne-Borzinsky gold placer and the Atsa-Kunaley deposit, then the development of the Bolshoy Koruy and Cherepanovka sites began. In parallel, the process of technical re-equipment of the enterprise was going on. For the needs of the artel, bulldozers, tractors, loaders, earth-moving equipment were purchased. In other words, the management did everything to systematically increase the volume of gold production, while reducing the labor costs of miners, involving off-balance reserves in mining and introducing new technologies in the enrichment of sands and processing of concentrates.
Of course, the current stability and competitiveness of the PC "Dauria" did not come immediately. While the notorious perestroika sent similar enterprises into oblivion one after another, the brainchild of Vladimir Koreshkov tried not only to survive, but also to emerge victorious from the economic bad weather. Both succeeded.
- The secret of the company's success is simple: first you need to create the most comfortable conditions for employees and only after that require them to fulfill the plan, - says Sergey Koreshkov, first deputy chairman of the cooperative.
