Any fitness trainer, instructor or sports coach can create and post a professional resume on our website to search for a job in fitness. We do not need to study for this. Once created, your resume will come to us for moderation in order to exclude spam or something else undesirable for our subscribers. Most often, we immediately approve the resume, but ask for it to be finalized so that it looks more professional and attractive for fitness clubs. Below we have compiled some basic guidelines for writing a resume.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

At the beginning of the resume, you can choose the main photo - this will be the main photo for both the resume and the account on the site. It is now customary to add a photo to the main information in a resume about yourself. Your first photo is the first impression. It is desirable that it be pleasant. To do this, pick a good photo - your face is large. Do not use photos from official documents - from a passport or visa. Usually we don't look the most friendly there. Too glamorous photo is also not recommended to post. Use a photo with a friendly open smile. Girls, match your images with neutral work makeup and hair. Your photo should be relevant to the job search, so be critical of those options that would be more suitable for personal friendships on social networks or on dating sites: it is better to do without revealing outfits, overly funny photos from parties with extra people, etc.

YOUR SPECIALIZATION

First of all, indicate your most basic specializations - those in which you are especially strong. Indicate the workouts that you lead, check if you can lead in person and / or remotely (via the Internet).

It will look professional if you can clearly articulate your goal. For example: "Working as an instructor of group programs on a fixed schedule of about 10 classes per week with a focus on dance types." Or: "Working as a personal trainer in a fitness club where I could (could) work on a free schedule from 3 to 5 days a week." Or: "Aspiring group program instructor who is willing to learn as he goes, doing as many classes as possible each day." Or: "I'm looking for a decent job with a decent level of pay, where I can bring the maximum benefit, using my professional sports background and 10 years of experience as a personal trainer."

Think about what is most important to you in your new job, as well as how it can be useful to your future employer.

EDUCATION

If you have a specialized higher education - fine. Profile for employees of the fitness department: physical culture, pedagogical, medical, choreographic. Be sure to specify your specialization in all details.

If you have finished something that has nothing to do with sports and fitness, indicate this fact without much detail. But be sure to indicate the fact of the presence of any education. It is important. In this case, describe in as much detail as possible all the refresher courses specifically in the field of fitness. What matters is where you studied and the fact that you continue to learn and improve all the time.

Do not forget about sports categories and achievements, even if you have received them for a long time, and it seems to you that your sport is far from fitness. Doing any kind of sport forms a sports character, which is important for a fitness trainer.

If you indicate the seminars of the Wellness Academy, then do not forget that we moderate the resume, so indicate only those seminars that you actually took.

EXPERIENCE

Write it chronologically, starting with the last (or current) place of work, and then in order to the oldest. Tell us about what exactly you did (or are doing): what kind of training, how much do you do, or what do you manage in your fitness club.

If your previous jobs were not related to fitness, describe them briefly, without too much detail. But if the experience gained there can be used in a new fitness role, describe it too.

If you have worked in fitness before and held the same positions in different clubs, describe your job responsibilities slightly differently in each case, add additional new tasks in a later job.

Think about whether it is worth separately describing the place of work where you worked for only 3-5 months? There are situations “didn’t get along”, conflicts, etc. It’s better to skip such an episode so as not to spoil your resume and not cause unnecessary questions.

What to do if you would like to apply for a higher position, but there is not enough experience for it yet. For example, if you were just an instructor and now you want to become a group program manager, then you should indicate everything that may be relevant to this new role. Think well: maybe you helped with the scheduling? Sometimes the fitness manager was replaced? Did you follow his orders? Your task is to show that you are ready for a new, more responsible position. Then you are more likely to be hired by the club for a higher position.

EXPECTATIONS FROM THE PLACE OF WORK

Be flexible. Do not immediately roll out too stringent requirements if you are not yet a recognized fitness guru. The main thing is that your resume is noticed and contacted for discussion. If the club is online and they don't have a vacancy for you at the moment, they may keep your resume for the future (but of course you have to make a good impression during the interview/screening).
Be realistic. If you have no work experience at all, then marking the maximum possible list of expectations will not be entirely appropriate. In the absence of work experience, focus on how you can be useful to a future employer.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Describe in detail your sporting achievements - if any. If not, this is not a problem - after all, for sure, you have other advantages. Describe them in the paragraph "personal qualities" and show all your working personality. Here you need to forget about false modesty and demonstrate everything that a potential employer can benefit from (you will win later, later). Your resume will stand out from others if, in addition to the usual phrases like "easy to learn" or "active", you show how it looks in real work. For example, tell us how many new types of workouts you were able to master in a year; that your dance group has won intra-club competitions; that your “lose weight by summer” group lost more than 500 kilograms in a month for everyone, etc. Try to paint everything here so that any potential employer can see what benefit you can bring to him. And this does not mean "I", but "for you and your clients."

In the additional information, specify everything that you see fit. If there is someone who can give you a good recommendation, please point it out. For example, you could write "Recommendations available upon request".

ADDITIONAL PHOTOS

There should be good photos of you in a working environment. You and your group of clients are at a training session, you are in sportswear at a competition, you are in a club. No photos from vacation, from parties or in evening dresses - leave these photos for Instagram.

POSTING A CV

Once you've created and posted your CV, you'll be able to submit your CV to jobs that interest you. You can also raise your resume in the general list - then it will be as visible as possible. This can be done for an additional fee of 50 rubles.

SAVE A CV AS A PDF FILE

After creating a resume, you can download it in pdf format in your account. After clicking "download in.pdf" the file will automatically download to your computer. You can save it and use it for emailing if needed.

The hectic pace of life, increased demands and a high level of competition lead to the fact that job seekers must carefully consider the possibility of successfully interacting with their potential employer. For this, it is recommended, each of which guarantees an increase in the level of efficiency.

A resume is a worthy opportunity to form a first opinion about a job seeker and correctly assess professional suitability. First of all, the applicant must present in a favorable light personal character traits, existing knowledge and professional skills. The literacy of writing a resume determines the possibility of conducting an interview and obtaining the desired position.

When compiling a resume, it is undesirable to dive into a detailed description of past jobs, step aside and let the water run. Many employers value specificity and substance, allowing you to understand how well a new employee will cope with the tasks.

There are no general rules and no standard. Despite this, when writing a resume, you should combine creativity, uniqueness and universal principles. It is important to highlight the functional and chronological summary. In the first case, the emphasis is on professional skills, experience and achievements in various fields, in the second - on seniority. Often, a functional and chronological resume is combined, so that a potential employer can better understand their job seeker.

All information is disclosed gradually, and its significance must be taken into account. Important information should be located an order of magnitude higher. In this regard, the full name and current contact information are initially reported, because the employer must know in advance with whom he is in contact.

Your resume should include the following information:

  • existing professional qualifications;
  • seniority;
  • the possibility of drawing up individual and general programs, taking into account the desires and needs of customers;
  • the level of physical fitness, because the coach must perform all the exercises at a qualitative level;
  • sports achivments.

Personal qualities deserve special attention. The applicant must have a positive charge, a desire for an active life position, purposefulness and a desire to conduct active training. In addition, fitness instructors must be prepared to work in the evenings and on weekends, as well as to constantly improve their skills.

Resume structure

Before you start writing a resume for a fitness trainer, it is recommended that you pay special attention to the correct structure. It depends on how pronounced the emphasis on any achievements will be.

personal information

The main task for fitness trainers is the correct selection of the main photo, which allows you to get an impression of the potential employee’s physical shape. It is best for the employer to be convinced of the possibility of successful cooperation and effective training from the very beginning. In this case, the photo will make a first impression, which should be pleasant.

When choosing a photo, it is desirable to consider the following factors:

  • large face;
  • refusal of photographs from official documents, including from a civil passport or visa;
  • it is recommended to abandon the glamorous image, as friendliness is manifested in an open and sweet smile;
  • girls should choose a photo with neutral makeup and an elegant sports hairstyle;
  • photos with revealing outfits, a cheerful expression or parties with extra people are undesirable.

In addition, you must specify the full name and current contacts. Without such personal information, a potential employer will not be able to establish contact to discuss questions regarding employment.

Specialization

The main task is to indicate the main areas of fitness, where the exercises are performed without any flaws. Moreover, in the 21st century, coaches can sometimes conduct personal and even remote training, so these opportunities should also be emphasized.

The main task is to clearly and distinctly formulate the existing goal. It is best to use numbers, if possible.

The intense pace of modern life and high competition in the labor market force applicants for a job to carefully prepare for a meeting with an employer and show themselves in the best light. Not the last role in this competition is played by the point of compiling a resume.

A resume is a preliminary opportunity for an employer to make a first opinion about a job seeker, as well as to assess his professional suitability. In turn, the applicant gets the opportunity to present their personal and professional qualities. The chance of receiving an invitation to an interview and the opportunity to get the desired position may depend on the literacy of writing a resume and the skills of the applicant.

How to write a resume?

When compiling a resume, you should not go sideways and dive into the list of previous jobs. What rules must be followed and what do employers value? What must be present in the resume in order for the coaching school to accept you into its ranks?

There are no general rules or standards. However, the resume writing process must combine creativity within the narrow confines of universal principles. Among the general baggage, two types can be distinguished: functional (tells about all the skills, describes experience and achievements in various fields) and chronological resume (personal data about the place of work are in reverse order). Often these types are combined, which gives a complete picture of the applicant. If you have little experience, then you should turn to the chronological type of resume.

The data in the summary body should be in the following order: sorted by importance. Information that is more important should be located an order of magnitude higher. This principle applies to all resumes.

In the first place is the full name, information about education and contact information is provided. The next on the list should be a listing of job responsibilities.

An important item in the resume of a fitness trainer is:

  • availability of professional qualifications;
  • experience as an instructor and in the preparation of individual and general exercise programs;
  • physical training; since the instructor must show and perform the exercises on an equal footing with the clients;
  • sports achivments.

Not the last item in the resume of a gym trainer should be personal qualities. Since it is a positive charge, an active life position and a positive attitude that determine the quality and direction of training. A frequent fact is the irregular schedule of the instructor. Therefore, you must be ready to work in the evenings and on weekends, as well as to constantly improve your skills. This means attending a training for trainers in Kyiv.

A proper resume template should include the following features:

  1. brevity. The main information should be placed on the first page, additional on the next. The ideal option is one page.
  2. Literacy. The resume should not contain grammatical, punctuation or lexical errors. Before posting on the site or sending, carefully check the text.
  3. Structured. A clear division of the information presented, readability and highlighting the main thing, the ability to quickly navigate in different sections.
  4. Truthfulness. The data must correspond to the selected position. Do not exaggerate experience and skills. Indeed, in practice it will be necessary to prove this.
  5. Accuracy. Business style is preferred for a resume, choose the optimal font and size, it is worth highlighting the main facts and headings.

Fitness classes are needed to maintain the tone of the body and body, lose weight and just have a pleasant and active pastime. The work of a fitness trainer requires a lot of attention and physical preparation. A resume for this position should show all your advantages, so be as truthful as possible and tell as much as possible about your professional activities. The most important thing is the presence of professional qualifications, you need to be well versed in human physiology, to know when and what loads to give and do. Describe all the courses and workshops you have participated in, this will show your desire for development, and that you are studying various areas in the field of fitness. Attach a photo of yourself to your resume to show what shape you are in, and also so that the employer determines whether you have a good appearance. Do not miss also personal qualities: activity, organization, positive attitude, cheerfulness.
