1. This standard applies to flat non-beaded bottoms made of carbon, alloy and two-layer steels intended for vessels and apparatuses operating under filling, and for vessels and apparatuses with a diameter of up to 500 mm also under a pressure not exceeding 1.6 MPa (16 kgf / cm).
2. The design and dimensions of the bottoms under pressure and for filling must correspond to those indicated in Fig. 1 and in Table 1.

Notes to tables 1 and 2.
1. For pipes with wall thicknesses not listed in Tables 1 and 2, the diameter and weight must be corrected for a gap of 2 mm between the casing wall and the bottom.
2. Deviation of the mass of the bottom should be within ±3%.
The design and dimensions of the bottoms, intended only for filling, must correspond to those indicated in Fig. 2 and in Table 2.

3. Bottoms made of alloy steel are allowed to be manufactured with thicknesses of 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21 mm.
Example symbol bottoms with a diameter of 456 mm, thickness 8 mm:

4. The wall thicknesses of the bottoms shown in Fig. 1 must be calculated in accordance with GOST 14249-89.
5. The need to install bottom stiffeners should be determined by calculation.
6. The mass of the bottoms is calculated with a steel density of 7850 kg/m.
