Business plan for the production of chain-link mesh. Own business: production of chain-link mesh. Business plan for the production of chain-link mesh: equipment, technology and necessary documents Description of the business idea, its relevance

30.10.2023

For a novice businessman, it is best to work in an area where there are large sales markets - even if you do not have enough experience to find a good client, there will still be buyers and, accordingly, profit too. Producing consumables for the construction business has always been a profitable business, because the clientele will be constant, and the product itself cannot deteriorate. Even if the price of a product goes up, people will still buy it—no construction works without a net. The main thing is to produce high-quality products, because if a client does not like your product once, then next time he will simply buy it from a competitor. We will try to help you set up your production so that it brings only money, pleasure from work and joy of customers. If at first glance, opening a business for the production of chain-link mesh seems like a difficult task to you, then just read the article to the end and you will understand that everything is not as scary as it might seem.

We recommend reading:

In this business, and in any other, the main thing is to work and constantly develop, to move forward. Constantly attracting several clients a week, it may seem to you that your profit is not growing much, but after a year of work you will notice the difference and, believe me, you will like it. Of course, if everyone could take some money from the bank and become a billionaire in a month from this business, then everyone would do exactly that. But not everyone is able to correctly distribute funds, organize the delivery of goods and advertising campaigns, which is why small business owners go bankrupt. We will try to prevent this from happening.

How to open a chain-link mesh production business: renting premises

Mesh production is a rather complex process that takes place on several machines and installations, so it will not be possible to install all the equipment in a small room. We need a spacious room of 60 square meters with good wiring, because the equipment draws a lot of electricity, if the wiring fails, everything will burn out. In principle, there are no more requirements for the premises, because we do not produce food or anything like that. All we need to do is pass a fire inspection, and they will allow us to work in the premises.

We are very lucky in that our position will not affect product sales in any way. We will look for all clients ourselves, using the Internet and direct advertising, the mesh is not sold by the couple of meters, it is sold by the hundreds, so you will still have to pay for delivery - either from the center of Moscow, or from more remote areas. The fact that we do not need to rent space in the center, but can take it anywhere, will save a considerable amount on the operation of the enterprise. To begin with, in the center a room with such a square footage costs 150-180 thousand rubles, on the outskirts - 15 thousand rubles per month. This is perfect for a small business.

We recommend reading:

Wiring plays a very important role; we are not connecting a kettle with a printer to an outlet, but heavy and powerful equipment with huge electricity consumption. It’s better not to take risks; after all, premises of such an area can only be found in old warehouses or factory premises, where everything has long stopped working. We advise you not to skimp and repair all the wiring in order to prevent fires. The cost of repairs will be 8 thousand rubles.

Mesh production occurs in several stages, but the main one is weaving the mesh using a special machine. We will consider all the equipment requirements so that you understand what you are paying for and what is generally needed for successful production.

First, the wire used to make the mesh needs to be sanded. Grinding straight wire is much easier than carrying out the same process with an already woven mesh. A wire grinding machine costs 70 thousand rubles, which is not very much, considering the duration of its operation in the future and the amount of products it will process. The machine will pay for itself, to put it simply.

After the machine has sanded the wire, it needs to be cut into several equal parts and loaded into the special slots of the machine along the wire bundle. When buying this car, you might be a little intimidated when you see the price. Foreign cars cost from two million rubles and have many settings and capabilities. To begin with, we advise you to buy a simpler domestic machine - it will cost you 215 thousand rubles, it will do the same amount of work as a foreign machine, but it will not have such a pleasant spring appearance and settings. It seems to us that this is an ideal option for a new business, since spending a lot of money on buying expensive equipment is stupid - it may not pay off

The wire is tied into sheets approximately 3 meters wide, while customers most often order sheet widths that are half that width. To satisfy the client, we need to buy equipment for cutting the mesh, as well as a simple machine that will wrap the wire into a compact form for transportation and sale. The grinder will cost us 8 thousand rubles, the machine 4 thousand.

We recommend reading:

A separate person will perform the work on our machines, that is, you only need to have one worker. The work is not very complicated, you just place the workpieces in the right place, turn on the machine, get a polished product, which you then install in the machine along a bunch of mesh, and gradually roll the resulting mesh into a roll on the machine. Considering that the mesh does not deteriorate, you can put it in compartments or leave it in some corner of the room, from where customers will then pick up the goods.

The salary in this area is 12-15 thousand rubles, we will take the minimum level. A new enterprise with high start-up costs and a lack of regular customers cannot afford huge staff salaries, but it can promise an increase in the future. During a crisis, even good professionals will agree to such a salary. For our employee, the monthly salary will be 12 thousand rubles.

It is worth noting that with the expansion of your business, that is, the purchase of more machines, it is not necessary to hire more staff. According to professionals, one worker can easily handle the work of two machines for making blanks and two machines for weaving mesh. The process, after all, is gradual - first the worker receives the ground wire, then he installs it in the machine along the weave, and so on in a circle.

Properly advertising your business: a few secrets

The main reason for the low advertising costs is that we will not spend money on distributing leaflets - we will not sell the product individually. We need to find a large hardware store or hypermarket where such products are most often purchased and invite them to sell your product. The benefit of the store is that we will sell them our goods at one price, and they will set another, making a profit from the difference. In big cities, negotiating with a sufficient number of shops and construction hypermarkets will not be problematic. Someone will refuse, and someone will agree.

We recommend reading:

The second market for their goods will be construction companies. The mesh is constantly used on construction sites; it is needed in large volumes and constant supplies. Just a couple of construction companies will be able to provide us with sales of all the products that are produced in a month of work.

Business plan for the production of chain-link mesh: expenses and income

Our starting expenses mostly consist of equipment costs - 70 thousand for a wire grinding machine, 215 thousand rubles for the purchase of a machine for tying wire into a mesh, 8 thousand for a grinder and 4 thousand for a machine for coiling products. We will also add here the purchase of boxes for storing products - 5 thousand, and renovation of the premises for 8 thousand rubles. In general, the costs will amount to 310 thousand rubles. Operating costs amount to 34 thousand rubles.

Our machine produces approximately 90-120 meters of finished mesh per day with a width of 3 meters. The cost of one square meter of mesh is 80 rubles, that is, if we sell all our goods, the net profit will be 600 thousand rubles per month. Of course, at the initial stage, it will not be possible to sell all the goods at once - focus on half of this money.

Smart entrepreneurs often build a business on products that have low cost and high demand. This is an ideal option for your business. One such business idea is the production of masonry mesh.

This material is used in the construction of brick walls and concrete structures. With proper business organization, production shows good results in the form of high profitability.

Step-by-step plan for starting a masonry mesh production business

Masonry mesh is a material that ensures the reliability of the structure. Almost all buildings have it inside. It is used for construction purposes when:

  • build residential buildings and industrial premises
  • building greenhouses
  • pouring the foundation
  • reinforce walls
  • make markings
  • are engaged in strengthening reinforced concrete

It is also used to make products such as zoo cages, frames for greenhouses and interior items. In addition, the mesh is used for the construction of roads and cars.

There is a very high demand for this material, especially recently in large cities, as a large number of high-rise buildings are being built.

Deciding on the mesh assortment

There are several types of masonry mesh. They differ from each other in the way they are made. Thus, there are two-layer meshes, the layers of which are located at an angle of 90 degrees to each other. But among all types, the most durable and reliable ones are distinguished, which are popular among buyers.

The most common types of structures:

  • Welded. This is the best mesh, according to consumers. It is designed in such a way that the wires are perpendicular to each other, forming identical cells. From its name it is clear that contact welding is used to connect such a mesh.
  • Wicker. It consists of spirals intertwined with each other. This mesh is produced using an automated device.
  • Woven. It is a fabric along which two wires are woven (main and cross, woven across the first). It is of the twisted type, when all the rods are twisted together.
  • Team. To produce this mesh, a deformed wire base is used, which is subsequently intertwined in a cross pattern. The most durable are masonry nets made of metal and galvanized.
  • Basalt. It has the following properties: it has low thermal conductivity, a strong base, bends easily, is not subject to corrosion, and is easy to cut.
  • Fiberglass. This type of construction is most often used in the construction of multi-story buildings. This mesh is resistant to aggressive environmental conditions.
  • Plastic. It is made from small-sized tubes made of polymer material. This type of structure cannot withstand heavy loads.

Choosing a room for the production of masonry mesh

The production area must be spacious. The temperature in it should not exceed 24 degrees above zero. If the enterprise has only one machine, then the area of the room must be at least 30 square meters. meters. It is also necessary to consider the storage space for the finished material.

Production should not be located near residential areas. It is advisable to find premises in the private sector.

What equipment to choose for production?

The process of manufacturing masonry mesh does not involve the use of expensive equipment. There is the basic equipment that will be needed to produce the finished product. Equipment:

  1. Welding machine. It is desirable that it be multi-roll, with a transformer, air pedal and compressor. The pressure in the pneumatic network is 2 mPa, and the power of the machine is 36 kW.
  2. Equipment for cutting metal.

In order to save money, some businessmen buy equipment second-hand. Just before you pay, it’s better to test it. It should weld all the joints of the masonry mesh.

What documents need to be prepared to open a business?

The preparation of documents that will allow you to engage in the production of masonry mesh must begin with the choice of the organizational and legal form for your business. If you plan to produce mesh in small batches for sale in small wholesale batches, then it is enough to draw up individual entrepreneur documents.

To register an individual (entrepreneur) with the tax office, funds and statistical authorities, you must:

  • Write an application to the Federal Tax Service.
  • Prepare copies of your passport and TIN.
  • Pay the state fee.
  • Select OKVED, according to your area of activity.
  • Prepare an application for choosing a tax regime.

In this case, the production of masonry mesh corresponds to the code - OKVED 28.73.

Beginning businessmen who expect to create a large enterprise with the prospect of entering the international market must draw up LLC documents. In this case, in addition to the above papers for individual entrepreneurs, you need to form an authorized capital, prepare the charter of the company and the decision on its creation, and also resolve the issue with the legal address.

In addition to standard documents confirming that you are registered with the Federal Tax Service, funds and Rosstat, you need to obtain permission from representatives of fire services and Rospotrebnadzor. Another important document, without which large companies, construction supermarkets, etc. will not cooperate with you. – this is a quality certificate for all the company’s products.

In addition to the above documents, for the production of masonry mesh, no need to obtain other permits or licenses.

What tax regime is optimal for mesh manufacturers?

If you have opened a small company that employs less than a hundred people, then you can make payments to the state treasury under a simplified taxation system. To do this, you need to write an application and submit it to the tax office along with documents for business registration. This regime allows entrepreneurs to pay 15% of revenue or 6% of the company’s income.

Business entities that plan to produce large volumes of masonry mesh and sell products to large companies are not suitable for the simplified tax system (restrictions on personnel, cost of fixed assets, etc.). Therefore, in such situations, business owners prefer to work and pay taxes on a general basis.

Production technology of masonry mesh for sale

The sect is used in the construction of buildings, so it must meet all quality standards: be durable, not rust, wear-resistant, and not deteriorate for a long time. To meet all the criteria, only high-quality materials are used for its production. Among them the following (main ones) stand out:

  • low carbon cold rolled steel wire
  • fiberglass
  • plastic
  • metal wire type VR-1
  • fittings

In addition, there are additional raw materials that improve the performance characteristics of the finished product:

  • PVC-based compositions
  • recycled zinc

The list shows almost all the components from which different types of masonry mesh are made. If the company plans to produce a specific type, then much less raw materials will be required. This is especially true for additional material, which is required in isolated cases. This is due to the fact that most often they buy a simple metal mesh without any finishing.

It is advantageous to purchase materials for mesh production from a wholesale supplier.

The process of making masonry mesh is not complicated. It takes place in several stages.

Preparation of wire blanks Production begins with workers selecting wire of suitable size and cutting it into rods of a certain length and width (manually).
Welding Employees load the material obtained at the first stage into the machine, where the rods are laid in accordance with the shape of the cells of the finished mesh. Next, all welding work is performed by an automated installation, which additionally straightens the rods.
Slicing The finished masonry mesh is cut using a machine or employee.
Sending to warehouse The last stage is transportation of finished products to the storage location.

We are hiring staff

In order to establish efficient production of masonry mesh, it is necessary to hire appropriate personnel with experience in this field. The plant will need:

  • machine operators
  • driver
  • loader
  • accountant
  • marketer
  • manager

Sometimes some employees may combine the responsibilities of several positions. This helps save on labor costs. For example, a manager can do the work of an advertiser and an accountant if he has the appropriate knowledge.

In cases where there is no money to purchase equipment, you can do all the work associated with the production of masonry mesh manually. To do this, it is better to hire unskilled workers, whose wages will be significantly less than the basic wage of a worker at the factory.

The enterprise will develop rather slowly in such conditions, but it will not require large investments.

Where to look for clients to sell masonry mesh?

When a business is just starting, finding clients is not so easy. We have to resort to all available methods. On weekends, business owners can independently go to sell mesh at the construction market or hire a seller. To do this, you will need a place that will need to be rented.

If the product is certified, it will be easier to sell it through wholesale sales. You can look for clients through friends, contact construction companies, contractors, and construction stores.

How much money do you need to start a business?

To organize your own mesh production, you need considerable start-up capital. Its size can reach 2.5 million rubles, which will be used for specific purposes:

  • registration of an LLC or individual entrepreneur, obtaining a product quality certificate
  • purchase of two machines
  • salaries for six employees
  • purchase of raw materials
  • rent payment
  • purchase of consumables
  • use of marketing funds

But if the business does not start from scratch: the entrepreneur already has equipment received for temporary use, workers have been hired for low wages, inexpensive raw materials have been purchased, there is a customer base, then a small investment will be required - about 300 thousand rubles. for additional expenses. All these points need to be included in the plan.

How much can you earn from producing masonry mesh?

If a businessman initially purchased expensive equipment, the price of which is at least 1.5 million rubles, then the costs will pay off within two years. When, after 18 months, the business does not generate adequate profits to cover the start-up capital, then the business can be considered unprofitable. In this case, the plant is liquidated or third-party specialists are hired who can restore the operation of the enterprise. But with minimal expenses for opening an organization, the payback period will be no more than six months.

Chain-link mesh is a good fencing. It is strong and durable. No special knowledge is required for its installation. The enclosing structure is erected quickly - a few hours, and the fence or enclosure for the dog, pen for pets is ready. The mesh is relatively inexpensive. The main advantage is that it does not provide shade, which is very important, for example, for small garden plots. With its help, it is easy to sift sand, gravel and other bulk materials needed for foundations, cement screeds, plastering or thermal insulation work.

Production of chain-link mesh

Steel wire is most often used to make a universal building material. In specialized stores you can find chain-links made of galvanized wire, as well as polymer-coated wire. Upon individual order, specialists can produce stainless steel mesh.

For the production of chain-link, both simple, manual machines and special semi-automatic ones are used. Wire spirals are twisted together in a flat coil. The greater the power of the net weaving machine, the higher its productivity. It is easy to distinguish how the chain-link is made: automatic machines, unlike manual machines, bend the ends of the mesh in a roll, thanks to which they are connected to each other.

The cells of the chain-link, depending on the type of weaving, can have the shape of a rhombus or a square. The “drawing” performs a purely aesthetic function.

Chain-link mesh is sold in rolls, their height is 1.5 meters, length is 10 meters. If necessary, you can make an individual order and receive a mesh with a height of one to four meters and a length of up to 18 meters - technologically this is the maximum volume of a chain-link roll. For safe transportation, sharp edges must be wrapped in thick paper or polyethylene.

Successful business

Not only large-scale production of chain-link is profitable, but also a small workshop. A small business can be a great start for new entrepreneurs in the construction business.

The main advantages of a small business producing chain-link mesh are:
  • There is no need for large production areas - at first, a regular garage will be enough.
  • Start-up capital is affordable for any person with average income. Small investments will allow you to understand the intricacies of production and will give you your first profit.
  • Creating a customer base will allow you to expand production over time, increase its profitability and, accordingly, your income.

First investments

Investments for opening a small private workshop are calculated based on the cost of machines, wire and room rental.

The cost of a simple semi-automatic machine with electric foot control ranges around 1 thousand dollars. The machine consists of an unwinding device, a receiving and tensioning mechanism, a curling mechanism, and a special work table. The area required for its operation is only 2 square meters. Using a semi-automatic machine, you can make a diamond mesh with a cell volume from 25 to 75 mm. The most popular chain-link has 55 mm mesh and is “braided” from wire with a diameter of 1.2-3 mm. In one shift, 250 meters of such mesh can be produced on a semi-automatic machine, which is 25 rolls, each 1.5 meters high.

The equipment is easy to operate. The wire is wound onto a drum, then it is sent to a bending machine. At this stage, the required width of the cells is set, the machine bends the wire in the right places. Next, it is cut into blanks - segments of the required length. At the next stage, they are intertwined with each other, and the weaving of a chain-link mesh is familiar to everyone.

One person can operate the semi-automatic machine at all stages. At the same time, for setup, debugging and operation, the employee does not require special professional training. The productivity of such a machine, of course, is much less than an automatic one, where the worker only controls the equipment, but for the initial stage of business this is an excellent solution. The cost of the equipment is quite reasonable, the quality of the products is high, which is important. After all, it is quality that determines the number of buyers, and, therefore, the income of a small enterprise.

The base material for making the mesh is wire. The most common diameter is 1.6-2.2 mm. A spool of wire will cost about $600. It all depends on its quality and volume of purchase. It is cheaper to purchase unpainted wire, but painted wire produces a more attractive product, which is important for design work on a personal plot. It is good to make colored mesh according to individual orders. Because for most buyers, chain-link is a mesh with diamond-shaped cells made of unpainted wire.

The initial room for organizing a workshop most often becomes an ordinary garage. As a rule, the owner of a small business has one, so only the payment of membership fees is included in the cost. If necessary, you can rent a small non-residential premises. The main requirement is the availability of a source of electricity. The rental price is quite affordable, depending on the location and area, from $200.

Implementation methods

The first rolls of mesh can be sold to specialized building materials stores or sold directly to consumers. To do this, you need to place an appropriate advertisement in the local newspaper, radio, television or on a special Internet site. A suitable option would be to post leaflets in the private sector and nearby villages. For greater turnover, you should consider the possibility of delivering rolls to the consumer. A regular Gazelle is suitable for these purposes.

Become an individual entrepreneur

Individual entrepreneur is the most convenient form of organizing a small business. With a simplified taxation system (namely, the one chosen by most entrepreneurs), you will need to pay profit tax, unified social and income taxes.

Profitability of production

Let's do some simple calculations. The initial investment is within $3000. Production volume is 200-250 meters of mesh during one work shift. As you can see, the costs will pay off at the end of the first year of operation of the mini-workshop.

For a big ship, a long voyage

In order to open a plant for the production of chain-link mesh, you will need quite a significant start-up capital. You need to buy powerful automatic machines. They have high productivity and do not require large human resources. Thus, automatic equipment produces on average 100 sq. meters of mesh per hour, while the width of the canvas can be up to 4 meters.

The production line is 10 meters wide and 7 meters long. Its cost is from $30,000 to $45,000 plus equipment delivery (within $4,500).

The costs should include the cost of renting production premises and wages for workers, and there must be at least three people per shift: a senior worker and two auxiliary workers.

The responsibility of the shift supervisor includes compliance with production technology, monitoring the activities of subordinates and the movement of goods in the warehouse. Of course, at the initial stage this functionality can be performed independently. But the role of a specialist in production should not be underestimated. The quality of the finished product largely determines how quickly you will recoup your costs and how much profit you will make.

Marketing large production products is a complex issue. It is necessary to conclude agreements with partner companies, and at the same time work with construction supermarkets, wholesalers, and retail chains. Enterprises, as a rule, do not make direct sales to individuals. Therefore, in the expense line, you should take into account the involvement of an experienced sales manager, who will look for customers.

The wage fund, the cost of raw materials and planned expenses amount to up to $30,000 per month in a large enterprise. Let's calculate the payback. So, if the production workshop operates in one eight-hour shift for a month, then on average 13.5-14 thousand square meters will be produced. meters of chain-link. Its wholesale price is approximately $3 per square meter, depending on the width of the cells and the quality of the wire from which it is made. Through simple calculations, it becomes clear that the company’s profit will be about $30,000 per month. The cost is determined by the consumption of material, which is 1.5 kg of wire for 1 sq. m of chain-link with a minimum mesh size. Plus the cost of electricity is neither more nor less, but 6-7 kW per shift. As you can see, the profitability is not that high - only 9-10%. You will return the invested money after 2 -2.5 years of continuous work. If you have an experienced sales manager who will provide constant supply channels, the payback period can be reduced to 1.5 years.

Competition in the chain-link mesh industry is very high. However, demand in many regions of our country exceeds supply. Therefore, even a small workshop with minimal costs will allow you to return your investment and receive a stable income.

There are types of businesses that do not suffer during any crises or market downturns. One of these types of entrepreneurship is the production of chain-link mesh. It is bought at any time of the year and in large quantities, so if you set up the production of high-quality building materials, you can sell it wholesale to bases and stores, so as not to have to deal with retail sales. In this article we will look at a shortWe’ll tell you what equipment is needed and what investments will be needed to get started.

Introduction

It is believed that mesh is bought only in warm weather, but in reality this is not so. It is used for the manufacture of aviaries and poultry houses, fences in dachas, fences in car parks, for concrete work, etc., so the main thing is to correctly prioritize its implementation.

Chain-link mesh in the warehouse does not take up much space

The advantages of this type of business include several points:

  1. Low entry threshold. To get started, you do not need major capital investments - in fact, you can organize production even in the garage.
  2. Compact production. The wire bending machine is small, and the twisted material does not take up much space, so the finished product is convenient to store and store.
  3. Minimum number of personnel for work. In fact, you can work independently at first after launch, and only then, having reached the desired level, will you hire assistants.

Analyzing the market

Today in Russia there are several large manufacturers of mesh and, in general, there is no shortage of it, but you can still start a business for its production in almost any region of the country. This material is used in agriculture, in everyday life, in livestock farming, and in mining for sifting ore or crushed material, for fastening slopes, for concrete and plastering work, creating protective screens, heating mains, etc. Therefore, you should decide on what , to whom exactly you can sell your products, study the offers available on the market and calculate the profitability of your idea, and then begin selectingequipment for mesh production. The cost of finished raw materials depends on the following factors:

  1. What material is the mesh made of (aluminum, stainless steel, polymers, galvanized, ferrous metal).
  2. Mesh size (the smaller the size, the more wire needed).
  3. Roll size and wire thickness.

Attention:Call existing databases and wholesale stores to find out the range offered and price levels. Ask at what price it would be profitable for them to buy products from you.

Chain-link mesh is very popular both in everyday life and at industrial facilities

Selling chain-link can be done in several ways:

  1. Sales from a warehouse to the public or LLC. To do this, you need to advertise yourself and win the trust of customers. One of the advantages of this method is the absence of additional costs for logistics and exhibition halls.
  2. Sales through stores (hardware, construction). Retail outlets are happy to sell the mesh or simply buy it in small wholesale for their own needs. Thanks to such cooperation, it is possible to establish constant sales, but demand through stores is usually seasonal.
  3. Bases selling materials wholesale. This is the best option - they buy chain link in tens and hundreds of rolls, as well as sell it in large wholesale. The advantages include minimal sales administration and the ability to hand over all material from the warehouse. The downside is that there is quite high competition, since everyone wants to work with wholesalers.
  4. Participation in public and private tenders. Often large enterprises hold tenders, purchasing mesh for various needs. By winning the tender, you will be able to ensure good sales volumes for a long time.

Ideally, one should work in all four areas, but in practice it turns out that first implementation goes to private individuals. Then you can negotiate with stores and markets, then you can go to wholesale and tenders, gaining experience and the necessary knowledge.

How to register correctly

Before you buy, you should think about how to work more correctly and efficiently. For such production, the easiest way is to open a classic individual entrepreneur, but if you want to do business with a partner or in shares with relatives, then it is better to create an LLC. As OKVED, you can use 28.73, which is called “Production of wire products”. To choose the right tax system, you should think and calculate the numbers you plan to work with. To work with private traders and markets, it is quite possible to use a simplified system. To work with enterprises, shops, bases, it is better to register a legal entity or act as an individual entrepreneur - a VAT payer. As an example, when calculating a business plan, we will assume that we work according to the simplified tax system - 15%, and the tax base includes income minus expenses.

Attention:the requirements for the chain-link are specified in GOST 5336-80. At the same time, frequent buyers, markets and stores usually do not require quality certificates for products, but we recommend that you undergo voluntary certification and obtain the appropriate papers - this will make wholesale sales easier for you and will eliminate a number of questions from regular customers.

Equipment selection

In fact, all the necessary equipment for the work of the workshop is a machine that bends wire and produces a chain-link of the required cell diameter. Today on the market there is a large assortment of similar machines of domestic and foreign production. There are materials on the Internet that you can use to assemble such a structure yourself, but we will not consider such exotic things - it is better to purchase a ready-made machine, even a used one, than to waste time and money on construction. There are two main types of machines:

  1. Semi-automatic (requires an operator during operation).
  2. Automatic (does the work independently, requires minimal intervention).

Semi-automatic machines take up little space, are easy to install and maintain, have an affordable price (30-60 thousand) and a long service life. But they also have disadvantages - partial automation does not allow work to be carried out completely autonomously - the operator will have to do a lot manually, including the initial bending of the mesh. This leads to the fact that the cells are heterogeneous and uneven (with the proper experience of the operator, this disadvantage can be reduced to zero). We recommend purchasing such a machine only if you are seriously limited in finances.

Automatic devices operate completely autonomously and do not require human intervention. Their advantages include the absence of a human factor: they are more productive, have equal cells, have increased weaving accuracy and bending accuracy. Maintenance personnel only need to load the wire in a timely manner and remove the finished rolls for storage. The cost of such installations starts from 200 thousand rubles, and the disadvantages include the high complexity of maintenance and setup.

In our example, we will calculate the numbers based on the fact that a high-quality automatic device ACP15/2 will be purchased, which as of 2017 costs 300,000 rubles. It comes complete with unwinding equipment, additional equipment for curling, instructions and a passport (warranty for the machine is 3 years). It is capable of automatically producing chain-link with a mesh diameter from 20 to 60 mm, which fully meets the requirements of GOST. In addition, the cost of the equipment includes delivery of the device to the workshop, its installation, commissioning, training of workers and maintenance of the device for one year. This allows you to reduce possible costs and immediately begin production.

You should also purchase or assemble several racks for storing and warehousing finished products and think about record keeping (for small volumes, you can get by with manual records; for large volumes, you will need a computer with the appropriate software). In total, all production costs will cost a maximum of 400,000 rubles - you will spend 300,000 on the machine, 50 on setting up the workshop and workplace, 50 on other expenses such as design, initial advertising, etc.

Automated production machine

We will separately consider the requirements for the premises. To install the machine and work with it, you need approximately 15 m2, another 15 for storing products, that is, a total of 30 square meters (at a minimum). Another 10-15 m2 will be needed to accommodate staff and for the order receiving table. At the first stage, you can work on your own - production takes a minimum of time, as well as issuing orders for retail or small wholesale.

Attention:Before purchasing a machine, ask whether it requires connection to a three-phase network. Some devices work from a regular outlet, some require a 380-volt connection.

How it works

Let's look at how the chain-link manufacturing process generally works. To do this, the operator needs to place a coil or coil of wire into the receiving device, insert one end into the machine, set the cell size and roll size and click on “Start”. After this, the machine turns on and begins to produce wire, stretching it using guide bushings. The material is wound onto a screw, after which it is chopped using a guillotine, bent into half a cell and passed through the grooves. Then the procedure is repeated and the bent wire is inserted one into another, twisting in a spiral and stretching under the influence of gravity.

The cycle is repeated the required number of times until the roll is completely formed. Upon completion, the finished network is treated with oil, which protects the metal from rust, wrapped in thick paper or cellophane, and laid in stacks on the floor or on racks.

Material such as chain-link mesh is in high demand. It is used to fence off industrial and construction sites, parking lots, country and garden plots, and sports grounds. The popularity of chain-link is due to the low price and ease of installation of mesh fencing. They sell it in every hardware store, not all of which have a wide range of mesh. As a rule, stores sell mesh with a width of 1.5 meters, but the buyer often needs other sizes. Therefore, there is only one option left - to contact the manufacturer directly, who can produce a mesh of any width.

Starting a mini-production of mesh fencing is easy and inexpensive. The equipment is not bulky and will fit even in the garage. The main thing is that there is 220V electricity in the room. The cost of a semi-automatic machine starts from 45 thousand rubles. To service it, it is enough to attract just one operator with basic weaving skills.

Equipment for the production of chain-link mesh comes in two types: manual (semi-automatic) and automatic. Manual devices are cheaper, more compact and easier to use. But their significant drawback is the increased need for workers and low productivity. Automatic machines are larger and more expensive than manual options. But their main advantage is high speed of work and minimal dependence on the qualifications of the employee. Only with the help of an automatic line can we achieve good production volumes and reduce the cost of producing mesh lower. This results in a more competitive price for the product.

For the manufacture of chain-link mesh, wire is used in accordance with GOST 3282-74. The wire can be galvanized, non-galvanized and polymer-coated. Wire is purchased in rosettes, sandwiches or skeins. The price range per ton is from 40 to 80 thousand rubles. It is most profitable to use raw materials in rosettes, since the unwinding of such wire on a machine occurs without the formation of loops.

The retail price of mesh (1x10m) with a diameter of 1.6mm ranges from 800 to 1100 rubles per roll. The cost of production, according to various calculations, is 400 - 450 rubles. The main expenses include operator's wages, rental payments, electricity, and wire costs. In fact, by selling mesh even at wholesale prices, you can count on an income of 300 - 700 rubles per roll. Production profitability can reach up to 50%.

As for production volumes, even on a manual machine, one operator can produce 11 rolls per shift (8 hours). It turns out that by spending no more than 200 - 300 thousand rubles at the start (purchase of a machine, tools, raw materials, delivery costs, etc.), we get a business with a turnover of 150 - 200 thousand rubles per month. But the main condition for success will be 100% sales of all manufactured products.
